Star Wars fans are excited that Billy Dee Williams is coming back to the Star Wars franchise, as he's getting ready for that return in the most Billy Dee way possible. The actor recently released a short clip of himself getting into the physical shape to play Lando Calrissian again, and it turns out that Billy Dee Williams so cool that he even works out in shades. Check it out.

Billy Dee Williams says in the post on Twitter that he's feeling better than ever and he's certainly looking good throwing punch after punch at Gunnar Peterson, the personal trainer to the stars that is getting Billy Dee screen ready. While the actor may not look ready to star in the next Rocky movie, he still looks pretty damn good for an 81-year-old actor. He's the last guy in his 80s I'd want to mess with.

Of course, Billy Dee Williams built a reputation over the years of being one cool guy, so of course, he wouldn't bother taking off his sunglasses to workout. That wouldn't be cool enough. Although I can't decide if I like that, or the fact that his workout clothes have his initials, better.

Billy Dee Williams has been working with a personal trainer for some time. In fact, it was his admission that he was doing so that first got the rumor mill going about the possibility of a return to Star Wars. The fact that Williams was working out in the months prior to production starting on Star Wars Episode IX had many wondering if the timing wasn't a coincidence. As it turned out, it wasn't. After being apparently confirmed in the trades, Lucasfilm revealed that Billy Dee Williams would, in fact, be returning to play Lando Calrissian in Star Wars Episode IX. Of course, that doesn't mean we have the first clue how Lando will reenter the story, or where he's been for the last two movies.

It's going to be great to see Lando again, if only because the current Star Wars universe is now somewhat devoid of our favorite characters. While we know that Mark Hamill will be returning, one doesn't expect that a character who is likely now a Force Ghost will have a major role. We also know that Carrie Fisher will be back in Episode IX via the use of deleted scenes from the previous two movies. Though, that too will likely limit how big a part Leia will have. At this point, the only original trilogy mainstay who will likely be really involved in the story is Chewbacca, so bringing Lando back in will be nice for the old school fans. Star Wars Episode IX is now in production and will hit theaters in December 2019.

The Suspiria Remake Has Screened, Heres What People Are Saying

The summer movie season is officially over, and while the end of the year will bring more blockbusters and major motion pictures, we now find ourselves in that period where some of the more unusual cinematic offerings are surfacing. One of those is Suspiria, the remake of the same-named 1977 film which follows a dancer (portrayed in this version by Dakota Johnson) who travels to a dance academy in Berlin and learns that the institutions has some dark secrets. Suspiria won't be released to the public until the end of October, but the movie recently had its world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival. Reviews have subsequently trickled in, and the early reactions paint the remake in a mixed light.

First up, David Rooney from The Hollywood Reporter called Suspiria a "head-scratcher," saying how the Luca Guadagnino-directed remake feels unnecessarily drawn out and is bound to be polarizing.

Guadagnino has made an ambitious homage, but it doesn't really benefit from its more intellectualized gaze, instead draining the stomach-churning thrills of great horror.

Variety's Owen Gleiberman also walked away from Suspiria feeling underwhelmed, noting that there are few shocks in the movie and that the story leaves a lot to be desired.

Director Luca Guadagnino has remade Dario Argento's flamboyant nuthouse horror movie into an art film about dance and witches in divided Berlin that's so self-serious it forgets to scare you.

On the positive end of the spectrum, Emily Yoshida from Vulture said in her review that Suspiria succeeds in re-imagining its predecessor, even if it is in no way "comfortable."

Suspiria is a gorgeous, hideous, uncompromising film, and while it seeks to do many things, settling our minds about the brutality of the past and human nature is not one of them.

Indiewire's David Ehrlich also enjoyed Suspiria, giving it an A- score and noting that it's not so much a remake of the original movie as it is an "estranged sibling" with its "richer, more explicit" presentation of the central "nightmare."

Suspiria is a film of rare and unfettered madness, and it leaves behind a scalding message that's written in pain and blood: The future will be a nightmare if we can't take responsibility for the past.

Finally, Alonso Duralde from The Wrap wasn't a fan of Suspiria, declaring that Luca Guadagnino's version of the story is paced with boredom, confusion and "a dollop of disappointment and irritation."

The frights aren't frightening, the political subtext never connects with the rest of the movie, and even Guadagnino's generally unfailing visual sense isn't enough to put this over.

The DC live-action universe has been in a fascinating place since its inception, and only continues to surprise the public as time goes on. What started with Zack Snyder's Man of Steel and Batman v Superman has grown into a more capsulated universe, with Aquaman and Shazam! proving the DCEU could deliver critically acclaimed blockbusters. All eyes are on what the future will bring, especially as more stories revolving around Gotham City and its denizens make their way to theaters.

Aside from Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of Harley Quinn) and Todd Phillips' Joker, there's another major Gotham-set story that has been developing at the studio. Matt Reeves' The Batman has already had a long gestation period, and new rumors indicate that Robert Pattinson might replace Ben Affleck as the title character. And now it turns out that High School Musical alum Vanessa Hudgens has been campaigning to be the next live-action Catwoman.

Vanessa Hudgens has been making her intentions known over on her personal Instagram page. A number of the 30 year-old actress' fans have edited together images of her as Catwoman, and Hudgens was thrilled with the results. She shared a handful of those images on her Instagram story, with captions like:

Okay. Who do I need to talk to make this happen lol #dreamrole.

From there, she went on to repost various fan-made art with her as the DC femme fatale. What's more, she put her support behind Josh Gad's ongoing campaign to play Penguin. She certainly following in Gad's footsteps in that regard, as he's been teasing fans about the possibility of playing Penguin for years at this point. Unfortunately, Matt Reeves hasn't revealed his cast for The Batman just yet.

If Vanessa Hudgens gets her wish and ends up playing Catwoman, she'll have some very big shoes (or boots) to fill. On the big screen, she was most recently played by Anne Hathaway in The Dark Knight Rises, who played her as a criminal desperate to have a normal life. And Hathaway was preceded by perhaps the most iconic Catwoman ever: Michelle Pfeiffer in Batman Returns. There hasn't been anyone who was quite as sexy and ferocious as Pfeiffer's Selena Kyle, but it looks like Hudgens is ready to give it the old college try.

In fact, Vanessa Hudgens was a major fan of Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman since childhood. On her same Instagram story, she shared an image of herself as the character on Halloween. Check it out.

It's currently unclear if Vanessa Hudgens will ever get the chance to play Gotham's most deadly feline. But at least she's proven how much the character means to her-- a passion that could only help her performance is Matt Reeves ends up giving her the role. We'll just have to see if Catwoman ends up being a major part in The Batman, and who Reeves ends up casting to play her.
